I know Photoshop has gotten a bad rap, but I am not even slightly embarrassed to admit that Photoshop rocks my world. Now let’s be clear, I am talking about Adobe Photoshop. I am well aware that “Photoshop” has become a verb used to describe any kind of photo alterations with any random software or app. I also realize when people think of Photoshop, their minds immediately go to atrocious examples of plumped up booties, cut out thigh gaps, and cartoon skin. I myself used Photoshop as the fixer-upper when I first began taking portraits because I didn’t yet understand the ins and outs of my camera. After doing his headshots, I thought it would be great to show you a few of the different poses that can be done. Below are some sample ideas for how to pose men in a studio setting. It’s best to take portrait shots from direct eye level or above. A combination of seated and standing poses will serve your client well. Also feel free to use props that are relevant to their industry, and have fun!

It is no secret that I am a beach lover, but not just any beach. As much as I adore basking in the hot summer Caribbean sun, walking on that fine white sand, and bathing in the warm turquoise waters…there is nothing like the ocean. Sure it never gets truly warm, and those waves will beat you upside your head with a force to knock you over, but that ocean is alive.
