Goodbye Girl – A Lesson in Womanhood

I heart Facebook memories. It’s one of the best changes they ever implemented. Every day I look forward to going back in time and seeing what I was doing on this day years ago. It’s usually some fun anecdote about the baby versions of my kiddos and what they were up to. Most of us grew up watching Disney fairytales where the stories always had the same ending.  No matter the plot, they always got married and lived happily ever after.  So we go into marriage with the one we love, expecting to just gingerly walk that happy play out until death do us part.  Yet we all know that statistically 40-50% of marriages end in divorce; with more and more of the ones who remain married reporting they are completely unhappy. Marriage Q&A with Pierre and Yadi

I asked my husband to do a Marriage Q&A video with me and used social media to get questions for us to answer.  We waited until the kiddos were in bed and started recording.  The whole thing seemed to go off without a hitch, until I checked the camera and saw that it wasn’t recording.  I reviewed the footage to find that it had stopped less than a third of the way through.  Now we had to answer the questions all over again.  This time I stopped to check after a couple questions, and saw that again my camera had stopped recording – the card was full.  So by the time we actually got through all the questions we had answered them several times (never as good as the first time, of course) and were pretty delirious.
