This post is for the mature Christians, those of you who never thought in a million years you’d be mad at your Creator. You’ve worshipped with all your heart, given everything you had, your entire being was enveloped in the deep desire to do His will…then it happened. After all you’ve been through you always found refuge in God, but this – this is too much.
You’ve come across the circumstance that is beyond your comprehension. The pain you feel is so deep you can hardly breathe. The anguish is gut wrenching. Where is God? How could He let this happen? How could He stand back and watch you suffer when all you’ve done for so long is love Him with your whole self? Why hasn’t He answered your cries? Where is He in the midst of your despair?
I’m here to tell you that He hasn’t left you. We have a very real enemy who would love to see you blame everything on God, would love to see you walk away from the life He designed for you, to throw in the towel and give up. God has not rejected you. He loves you. He is a very present help in times of trouble and when life seems completely out of control, that is the time to run to Him.
Don’t let the enemy rob any more of your life by allowing yourself to turn from God. He has been there all along, waiting to love and restore you. Open your heart to Him once more. Seek Him for answers. Open your bible and allow Him to speak through His Word. Meditate in His presence and let His refreshing make you whole. Be genuine with the Lord. Tell Him your hurts, pains, disappointments. Tell Him your doubts, fears, and unbelief. Then let Him lead you into all truth. Let Him carry you the way only He can.
He adores you. Every tear you’ve shed is precious in His sight. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning – if you allow it. You’re going to make it through this. Clarity is on the horizon. Release your anger and surrender to the lover of your soul. It’s not over.
Where there is life, there is hope.
